Training on Empowering Women in AI
December 2, 2024 – Online – 10h – 13h (Barcelona time) – The UfM Training on Empowering Women in artificial Intelligence (AI), supported by the German Development Cooperation, aims to tackle the significant gender disparity in the rapidly growing field of Artificial Intelligence. Despite increasing opportunities, women represent only about 27% of the global AI workforce, with even lower representation in leading tech companies such as Meta and Google. Women also continue to face challenges related to bias, leadership representation, and access to resources.
The workshop will explore:
- AI Overview: Leveraging Opportunities for Women Entrepreneurs
- Practical Applications of AI: Tools, Methodologies, and Use Cases for Entrepreneurs
- Ethical Considerations and Future Trends in AI Development and Use
The session will feature expert discussions on the current landscape of women in AI, successful case studies, and a working group to address challenges and opportunities in the sector. The event will conclude with a Q&A session and closing remarks outlining next steps.
Specific objective:
This training, organized in collaboration with key stakeholders in the AI and gender sectors, will focus on empowering around 60 women entrepreneurs in the MENA region by providing them with the tools, resources, and networks necessary to succeed in AI.
