#ARLEMaward
The UfM is proud to support again this year the fourth edition of the ARLEM Award for Young Local Entrepreneurship in the Mediterranean. Registration is now open for the prize for entrepreneurial enterprises boosting local communities in the Southern Mediterranean, awarded by the Euro-Mediterranean Regional and Local Assembly (ARLEM). As in previous editions, the UfM supports this award and is part of the Jury selecting the final awardee. This year’s edition of the prize will be framed within the celebrations of the Day of the Mediterranean, 28 of November.
The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, and the fact that it has persisted for so long, has significantly increased young local entrepreneurs’ needs for support in developing their businesses. The work to overcome the economic and social consequences of the pandemic is most fruitful if local and regional authorities collaborate with young entrepreneurs. To showcase and give visibility to successful examples, the prize encourages the submissions of young entrepreneurs.
The prize will be awarded to a young entrepreneur up to 36 years old, supported by her/his regional or local community and whose company has been registered for at least 3 years. The deadline to receive candidacies has been extended until the 15 of August 2022, and the winner will be announced during the ARLEM plenary ahead of the Day of the Mediterranean.
