3 February 2023. UfM partner, EMUNI University in Slovenia has created the Euro-Mediterranean Innovation Camp (EMIC), an new venture for 2023 to nurture innovation and creativity among youth. The call targets youth between aged 18-35 years-old, resident in the Euro-Mediterranean region with novel idea or invention that can eventually be commercialised. The innovation must address one of the following three thematic areas: health, renewable energy, and environment (including climate change). The deadline for application is Friday 3 February 2023.
Short listed candidates will pitch their ideas via an online platform in front of a Jury of experts in the different fields of their innovation. They will respond to questions of the jury members, who will evaluate their ideas and select the most innovative and appropriate to benefit from the workshop.
In June, 3-4 finalists will be prepared for the finale event through training on marketing and pitching their prototypes/products to a wider audience by marketing and communication experts.
EMUNI and its partners, the Jozef Stefan Institute (Slovenia) and EuroMed University of Fes (UEMF) are launching EMIC with the support of the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM), Republic of Slovenia Ministry of Science, Education and Sports, and Republic of Slovenia Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
