Shifting towards low-emissions and resilient buildings in the Mediterranean region

28 June, Katowice (Poland), the event will take place in Katowice on 28th June 2022 and will be organised in co-operation with the Mitigation Enabling Energy Transition in the Mediterranean Region project (meetMED II) and the Programme for Energy Efficiency in Buildings (PEEB) on the margins of the 11 edition of the World Urban Forum

The Networking Event will stress the importance of developing low-emissions and climate-resilient urban areas in the South Mediterranean region

• Showcase concrete actions taken by national governments in the region to shift towards a low-emissions and resilient buildings and construction sector
• Highlight regional and international financial and technical cooperation initiatives to scale up bioclimatic building designs and energy-efficient appliances among South Mediterranean countries
• Showcase ongoing and announce upcoming activities funded by the European Commission in improving the energy efficiency and resilience of urban areas in the South Mediterranean region
