This insightful online training will explore the challenges and opportunities for women in the rapidly evolving Fintech sector.
Background:
Similar to various industries, the Fintech sector is in need of increased gender representation. Despite global efforts to encourage women’s economic empowerment, female entrepreneurship remains an underutilized driver of inclusive growth, employment, and innovation. The Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) highlights a significant gender disparity in women starting and running firms, estimated at over 40% globally.
In the MENA region, women are challenging norms by actively participating in cryptocurrencies and reshaping their roles in fintech and blockchain industries. Although the blockchain industry has historically been male-dominated, the landscape is changing, especially in the MENA region. More women are taking on crucial roles as founders, CEOs, and blockchain experts.
