First exchange meeting between IME Members to discuss the sanitary situation generated by COVID19
8 April 2020. The pandemic is prompting questions for the water supply and sanitation sector globally and special focus on the Mediterranean region which is already under stress due to the water scarcity as a result of the climate change. Water sector professionals need to remain informed regarding updates to information and measures needed to protect both workers and public health in general.
The first exchange meeting between the Mediterranean Water Institute- IME Members to discuss the sanitary situation generated by COVID-19 in cooperation with UfM will take place on 8 April at 3.30 pm, and the UfM Secretary General will be delivering the opening speech. This first exchange meeting will bring together high level personalities from the Mediterranean countries in charge of water issues (Algeria, France, Lebanon, Morocco, Tunisia) and within the next days, another one will be organized with the rest of Eastern Mediterranean Countries.
