Germany reiterates its support to the UfM

Berlin, 26^th September. Secretary General Sijilmassi held two days talks with German authorities in Berlin on 25-26 September. The meetings focused on the ongoing activity within the framework of the Union for the Mediterranean and the German support to the work of the UfM Secretariat. Mrs Emily Haber, Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, reiterated German continued support to the UfM and Germany’s strong interest in the work presently in progress, in particular the Mediterranean Solar Plan.

Secretary General Sijilmassi had talks with high level government officials in charge of international cooperation, renewable energies, water and environment. He met the German delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the UfM with whom a working relationship has been set up.
