On 3 October in Vilnius, Lithuanian Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs Neris Germanas met with Fathallah Sijilmassi, Secretary-General of the Union for the Mediterranean who is paying a visit to Vilnius, and affirmed Lithuania’s commitment to further support the EU and development of the Southern Neighbourhood Partnership. Tunis, 17th September, 2013. Marylise Lebranchu, Minister for State Reform, Decentralisation and Public Service, was in Tunis today to take part in the Mediterranean Economic Conference on “Employment and Territorial Development”, arranged by the Tunisian government and Union for the Mediterranean (UpM). In her speech the Minister put forward the major outlines of the decentralisation bill currently being debated in Parliament and stressed its economic scale. 17 September, 2013. Following a recent relocation to Barcelona, the Global Water Operator’s Partnership Alliance (GWOPA) hosted a coordination meeting on water operator partnerships in Spain. A number of local, national and international experts were gathered at the headquarters of the Union for the Mediterranean to share past experiences and identify synergies between institutions in working sessions over one and a half days (16-17 September).
