EMUNI, UEMF and UfM Conference: Exploring the importance of science-policy interface in the Euro-Mediterranean Region

The Conference took place at the eco-campus of the Euromed University of Fez and aimed to highlight the importance of dialogue in the process of regional cooperation and integration. 15-16 September 2022, Fez. International experts discuss gender-smart financing to empower women in the MENA region

The UfM and UNIDO join forces for the Women Business Forum, a two-day hybrid event in Barcelona and livestreamed online 20 July 2022, Barcelona. The MENA region has the world’s largest entrepreneurial disparity between men and women – 5% of women-led business compared to a global average of 23%-26% – and one of the weakest female labour participation rates. The UfM Regional Platform on Trade and Investment convenes its third meeting in 2022

The 12th Ministerial Meeting of UfM Trade Ministers is due to be convened in the second half of 2023. 20 July 2022. The Member States of the Union for the Mediterranean convened today by videoconference for the third meeting of the UfM Regional Platform on Trade and Investment. Closing Ceremony of the UfM Grant Scheme for Employment Promotion: Regional response to the COVID-19 pandemic

The four awarded projects benefitted 18K people in 7 countries of the Euro-Mediterranean region, namely, Greece, Italy, Jordan, Lebanon, Malta, Morocco, and Tunisia Barcelona, 14 July 2022. As part of its regional response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the UfM launched a Grant Scheme for Employment Promotion in 2020 aiming at improving the employment situation particularly those from the Southern and Eastern Mediterranean countries. 23-24 June 2022. The UfM Secretary general was invited to participate in the Tunisia Investment Forum and the ANIMA Investment Network Annual Conference held on 21-24 June 2022 in Tunis. Investing in a Sustainable Blue Economy in the Mediterranean
