Study on Governance Models of Mediterranean Ports – Final Report
The UfM Secretariat (UfMS), in collaboration with MEDPorts, seeks to conduct a Study on governance models of Mediterranean ports, which will include a comparative analysis of the different governance and organisation models existing at the level of the Mediterranean ports that are members of MEDPorts. Port governance models refer to the structure and relationships of the actors involved in the regulation, control, coordination and operation of ports in a country or region, considering the roles and responsibilities of each of them, as well as the policies and processes for managing ports. These governance models are based on three interconnected layers: the legal framework, the management model and the economic and financial model.
