Committee on women's rights of the Parliamentary Assembly of the UfM

The Committee on women’s rights deals with the situation of women on both sides of the Mediterranean and with their participation in the political, economic, social and cultural spheres. It discusses issues related to gender equality, the protection of women’s rights, the prevention of discrimination, the access of women to education and the labour market and women and the mass media. The Committee also deals with the role of women in the democratisation process and the governance in the Euro-Mediterranean region.
