Libor Chlad has taken up the post of the UfM Executive Director for Operations and Partnerships as of September 2022.
Full bio
A multilingual lawyer trained in several jurisdictions, Libor has over 18 years of experience working with high-level governmental, intergovernmental and non-governmental structures. He has previously managed diverse teams and complex projects with multiple stakeholders and large budgets in challenging environments of the Middle East (Security Sector Reform), Western Balkans (EU Pre-accession Assistance) and Turkey (EU Refugee Response).
Directorate for Operations and Partnerships (DOP)
The Directorate for Operations and Partnerships (DOP) is responsible for the operational dimension of the UfM Secretariat, managing the process of projects’ applications for the UfM label, supporting the improvement of this process and monitoring the implementation of flagship regional projects and initiatives pertaining to the different sectors of intervention of the UfM Secretariat.
DOP coordinates strategic long-term partnerships with key partners and donors, to support UfM activities in priority areas with the main objective of delivering results on the ground for the benefit of people in the region.
Finally, DOP works transversally to coordinate planning and reporting exercises of the UfM Secretariat, built on the principles of Results Based Management (RBM) and Monitoring Evaluation and Learning (MEL).
