UfM to participate in the 8th Mediterranean Economic Week
Marseille, 5-8 November 2014
The Secretariat of the Union for the Mediterranean will participate in the 8th Mediterranean Economic Week, which will take place from 5-8 November 2014 at the Villa Méditerranée in Marseille, France.
Within this framework, UfM Deputy Secretary General for Civil and Social Affairs, Ambassador Delphine Borione, will open the 10th Mediterranean Economic Rendezvous on 8 November.
The Mediterranean Economic Week is a multi-partner initiative to discuss the major economic issues in the Mediterranean and the Middle East. It brings together participants from various backgrounds, including entrepreneurs, researchers, politicians, economists, students, experts, and civil society actors in Marseille. It aims to provide a forum for discussion and debate on the economic development of the MENA region.
The Secretariat of the Union for the Mediterranean’s mandate addresses the numerous challenges that the Euro-Mediterranean region faces, including its economic development, through the implementation of specific projects and policy dialogue to enhance regional cooperation.
