The UfM Secretariat is the intergovernmental Euro-Mediterranean platform where political decisions are implemented and where concrete regional and subregional projects are developed with the support of an extensive network of partners, including governments, international organisations, financial institutions, civil society organisations, universities, foundations and the private sector.
The UfM Secretariat is in a privileged position to facilitate synergies between Europe, North Africa and the Middle East for new cooperation ideas and initiatives in the Mediterranean region. Solid partnerships with key institutions and a continuous exchange of ideas and best practices with key actors from the North and South of the Mediterranean as well as from other regions are essential for the successful implementation of the activities supported by the Secretariat.
