Climate change and Civil protection – Towards an efficient Euro-Mediterranean Cooperation

5, 6 and 7th June 2023, Rome – A  high level event will be hosted by the Italian Ministry of Foreign affairs in Rome on 5, 6 and 7th June 2023 (and the Dipartamento de Protezione Civile), co-organised by the Directorate-General for European Civil protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (DG ECHO) and supported by the Union for the Mediterranean General Secretariat (UfM) ; it will focus on three segments:

• A high level panel to exchange and share views on “Climate change and Civil protection – Towards an efficient Euro-Mediterranean Cooperation”
• Information about the launch this year of several civil protection regional programmes in the Mediterranean: PPRD Med, Multi country risk mapping and On Site Technical Assistant
• Organisation of the second meeting of the UfM regional dialogue platform on civil protection
