Euromed Trade Senior Officials Working Group (SOWG)

The “Euro-Med Trade Senior Officials Working Group” brings together representatives from Ministries of Trade of the UfM member countries. At the 9th Union for the Mediterranean Trade Ministerial Conference on 11 November 2010, Trade Ministers of the Union for the Mediterranean agreed on working priorities to strengthen Euro-Mediterranean trade relations.

Ministers instructed the Trade Senior Officials Working Group (SOWG) to launch discussions leading to identification of priority industrial sectors and also to explore possibilities of organizing meetings involving trade, industrial or other relevant policy experts concerning horizontal questions related to these sectors.
