UfM Conference on Digital Transformation and Digital Skills for the Future
Tallinn, Estonia – 30 September 2019. Acting upon the relevant UfM Ministerial mandates and in line with the UfMS’ assigned role in removing the regional barriers in the digital sector such as e-trust services, e-health, connectivity for research & education institutions, and harmonization of digital economy related legal frameworks, the UfM Secretariat will organize a Conference on Digital Transformation and Digital Skills for the Future in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Estonia and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), on 30 September 2019 Tallinn, Estonia.
The Conference will focus on two interrelated thematics of paramount importance, namely Digital Transformation (including e-government foundational building blocks and core services) to increase the potential for economic growth and higher quality of life and Digital Skills to set the mindset and help to boost the digital transformation.
This Conference will bring together stakeholders representing relevant sectors and disciplines from across the UfM Region to exchange views and experiences, share best practices and lessons learned, and present recommendations on how to unleash the potential of Digital Economy while hedging for the potential threats paused by technological disruption.
