3rd Meeting of the UfM-IFIs Urban Project Committee

22-23 March. The UfM-IFIs Urban Project Committee will be convened  on 22 and 23 March 2021 to overview the hitherto submitted project ideas/proposals of UfM Member States, with the participation of representatives of UfM Member States from their respective Ministries in charge of Urban Development, Housing, and  Finance, along with project promoters,  on the one hand, and those of potential creditors and donors, including the European Investment Bank (EIB), AFD, Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB), Green Climate Fund (GCF), EU Delegations, national agencies for international development cooperation, on the other.

In the context of the identification and early preparation phase of project ideas/proposals, project promoters will have the opportunity to present their project ideas/proposals to potential creditors and donors, who in turn could share their preliminary views on the potential bankability and sustainability of those proposals throughout their respective project cycles.

Please note that project ideas/proposals on “housing”, “strategic urban planning” and “urban regeneration” are clustered to be discussed in separate sessions as follows:

• Monday, 22 March 2021, from 11:30 to 13:30 hrs. (Brussels time),  on housing;
• Tuesday, 23 March 2021: from 09:30 to 10:30 hrs. (Brussels time) on strategic urban planning; and from 11:30 to 13:30 hrs. (Brussels time) on urban regeneration.

Project promoters are kindly requested to fill in the “UfM Framework for Description and Evaluation of Urban Project Proposals” (Annex A of the UfM Strategic Urban Development Action Plan 2040) at the following link, by OOB (opening of business) Monday, 15 March 2021, at the latest, to provide/update the available information to date on their project ideas/proposals with a view to facilitating the overview of the UfM urban project pipeline.
