2–4 April 2025, Granada, Spain – The Parliamentary Assembly of the Union for the Mediterranean will convene in Granada under the leadership of the Spanish Presidency.
The Forum on the Future of the Mediterranean will bring together Speakers and Deputy Speakers from the Parliaments of all Assembly Member States to address key regional challenges across four working sessions: peace and stability in the Mediterranean, migration, climate change, youth employment, and gender equality.
UfM Secretary General Nasser Kamel will actively contribute to the discussions, alongside with the EU Commissioner for the Mediterranean Dubravka Šuica. Other high-level authorities and representatives from several parliamentary assemblies, including from the Council of Europe, OSCE, NATO, and IPU will also attend.
The Union for the Mediterranean Parliamentary Assembly’s four co-presidencies for the 2020–2026 period comprise the European Parliament, the Moroccan Parliament, the Cortes Generales of Spain, and the Parliament of Egypt, which will assume the next presidency.
