Madrid, 12 July 2023 – The UfM High-Level Meeting on Skills in the Mediterranean will be organised under the Co-Presidency of the European Union and Jordan, in close cooperation with the UfM and relying on the expertise of the Anna Lindh Foundation and the European Training Foundation. The event will bring together a broad spectrum of partners and stakeholders to exchange insights, experiences, and best practices to address the current opportunities and challenges with respect to skills and skills development in an ever-changing labour market.
The High-Level Meeting will be organised around three panels focusing on investing in skills, supporting transitions (green, demographic, and digital) and anticipating the future of work.
The 4th meeting of the UfM Community of Practice (CoP) on Youth Employment in the Southern Mediterranean will precede the High-Level Meeting on Skills. The CoP, taking place on 11-12 July 2023, aims to collect, discuss, assess and disseminate experiences and good practices inter alia in supporting decent job creation as well as quality education systems and training, skills and employability.
