30-31 January 2024, Paris, France – The International Transport Forum (ITF), managed by OECD, is the most important gathering of transport in Europe.
In the framework of its ongoing collaboration with ITF/OECD under the joint Memorandum of Understanding signed in 2018, the UfM Secretariat will participate once again in the International Transport Forum (ITF) Annual Consultations with International Organisations, which will be held in Paris, France, on 30-31 January 2024.
Each year, more than 60 organisations are joining the discussions, which are instrumental in fostering collaboration among ITF and its partners. Focused on the core themes of upcoming ITF Summits, the Consultations provide a platform for the ITF and international organisations to exchange their priority areas, while enhancing cooperation and dialogue.
This edition will focus on the “2024 Summit on Greening Transport: Keeping Focus in Times of Crisis” and the “2025 Summit on Enhancing Transport Resilience to Global Shocks”. The meeting will also provide an opportunity to present the ITF’s Transport Research Programme of Work for 2024-2025, as well as to explore synergies and avenues for collaborative opportunities with partners in the coming years.
Both the Consultation Day and the subsequent ITF Summit, to be held in Leipzig on 22-24 May 2024, has become key to explore opportunities for and to enhance cooperation between the UfM Secretariat and ITF, as well as with other potential international partners and stakeholders, including the International Road Federation (IRF) and UITP, among others.
