Third Meeting of the UfM Regional Platform on Sustainable Urban Development

17 February 2022. The Third Meeting of the UfM Regional Platform on Sustainable Urban Development will be convened in online format on 17 February 2022.

The UfM Regional Platform on Sustainable Urban Development brings together UfM government representatives, key regional and international partner organisations and international financial institutions, as well as the key experts and stakeholders.

The objective of the 17 February meeting is to give Member States’ representatives and stakeholders a brief overview of the UfM initially planned activities on sustainable urban development for 2022, give them an overall picture of the year and get them familiar with the ongoing preparation process.

The Third Meeting of the UfM Regional Platform follows-up on the mandate of the Second UfM Ministerial Conference on Sustainable Urban Development (Cairo, May 2017), and prepares the groundwork for the Third UfM Ministerial Conference on Sustainable Urban Development. It contributes to translating political decisions into concrete actions with tangible impacts on the region’s citizens and to the advancement of the global agenda.
