27-30 January 2026, Cordoba. The capacity-building programme to develop bankable urban projects in the Mediterranean will take place in the broader context of the UfM Urban Agenda. The latter, adopted in 2017, will continue to provide a strategic, long-term vision for sustainable urbanisation in the Mediterranean region and will foster the creation of resilient, inclusive cities by reducing inequalities in alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
This initiative, led by the UfM, will be co-implemented with AECID and the EIB, which share the importance of similar initiatives. In fact, among all policy interventions, urban policy will offer some of the most significant opportunities to positively impact society, the economy, and the environment. By investing in sustainable urban development, the Mediterranean region will be able to address pressing challenges, drive climate action, and build a resilient, integrated future that benefits all its citizens.
