UfM Regional Dialogue Platform on Women Empowerment – First online AD-Hoc Working group on the Roadmap for Implementation

4 July 2023, 10h – 13h CEST online – The Social and Civil Affairs Division of UfM is currently focusing on operationalizing the Ministerial Declaration, through the Roadmap for Implementation 2023-2025, foreseen by the 5^th UfM Ministerial Declaration on Strengthening the Role of Women in Society, approved in October 2022 in Madrid.

Within this context, 2 online Working Group meetings and a physical Regional Dialogue Meeting (scheduled on November 14 in Barcelona back-to back with the European Training Foundation (ETF) workshop on  Gender & Inclusiveness in Active Labour Market Policies ) are being organized in order to draft the Roadmap and follow-up on the monitoring exercise launched in 2020.

More concretely the WG meetings will tackle the two interlinked challenges:

• The first being the identification of those key actions at regional level that would better operationalize the commitments taken in Madrid.
• As for the second challenge, there is the need to capitalize the efforts deployed for the 1st UfM reporting exercise on Gender Equality by assessing how to update the data gathered in 2021 and the most relevant indicators to be covered in the next phase.
