13 March 2024, SciencesPo, Paris Campus – Despite a challenging regional and international context, Euro-Mediterranean cooperation has grown and expanded in the last decade and has managed to respond, to a certain extent, to expectations in the region.
Unfortunately, the escalation of the conflict between Israel and Palestine and consequently of tensions at regional and global levels, make it challenging to continue strengthening Euro-Mediterranean cooperation through its unique multilateral framework: the UfM. This situation raises the more general question of the role and functioning of cooperation and dialogue in times of crises and open conflicts.
Jointly organised by the UfM Secretariat and the Paris School of International Affairs at Sciences Po (PSIA), in partnership with the Interministerial Delegation for the Mediterranean (DIMED) of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs of France, this conference aims to:
