Mr Jean Roatta, Deputy Mayor of Marseille responsible for Euro-Mediterranean Cooperation, met Mr Fathallah Sijilmassi, the Secretary General of the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) at the UfM headquarters. With the aim to foster employment opportunities, the Secretariat of the Union for the Mediterranean will be organising on 10 October, in Beirut, the launching of the “Skills for Success: Employability Skills for Women” project’s first phase. This UfM-labelled project is promoted by AMIDEAST and seeks to support 450 young women and girls from Lebanon, Jordan, Morocco, Egypt and Tunisia in acquiring the tools, knowledge and skills needed to access local labour markets.
