The EMUNI University, regional hub for higher education and research, is a strategic partner of the UfM Secretariat in this domain.
Celebrating this 2018 its 10th anniversary, the Euro-Mediterranean University (EMUNI University) was established in the frame of the Declaration of the Paris Summit for the Mediterranean (Paris, 13th July 2008). This university is a Euro-Mediterranean institution that gathers knowledge and experience of over 130 universities from 33 different countries, contributing in a significant way to the consolidation of an integrated Euro-Mediterranean Higher Education and Research Area.
Having its headquarters in Piran (Slovenia), the main mission of the EMUNI University is to strengthen mutual understanding and intercultural dialogue in the Mediterranean region by organizing the implementation of accredited study programmes and other educational activities, conducting scientific research as well as coordinating and engaging in projects related to the Euro-Mediterranean affairs and cooperation.
Since 2015, the EMUNI University organises Annual Conferences and thematic workshops aiming at addressing key challenges faced by the Mediterranean region and producing policy recommendations.
