UfMS to attend the International Transport Forum 2012 Summit Consultation with International Organizations Meeting in Paris
The UfMS has been invited to participate in the International Transport Forum 2012 Summit Consultation with International Organisations meeting which will take place this coming Friday 20th January 2012 in Paris.
The objective of the meeting is to obtain contributions from the forum’s international partners including members of international professional and intergovernmental organisations on priority issues for enhancing transport connectivity that could be brought forward in the debate at the 2012 summit on “Seamless transport: Making Connections” to be held in Leipzig in May 2012.
The UfM representatives at the meeting, namely DSG Ambassador Yigit Alpogan and Expert Zeynep Kaleli from the Transport and Urban Development, will stress the importance of enhancing transport connectivity in the region and put forward a Euro-Mediterranean perspective and approach on the issue of seamless transport, with the aim to include the region’s realities in the discussion which will take place at the coming summit.
