8th edition of the Mediterranean Week of Economic Leaders
Barcelona, 26-28 November 2014
The Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) is collaborating in the 8th edition of the Mediterranean Week of Economic Leaders. This edition is entitled “A need for change” and will focus on the green economy as a key driver for economic and social growth in the Euro-Mediterranean region.
In the framework of this event, the UfM and the Association of the Mediterranean Chambers of Commerce and Industry (ASCAME) will renew their Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), signed in 2008.
Over the course of three days, businessmen and women, government bodies of the Mediterranean region and representatives from international and regional institutions will gather to discuss and promote Euro-Mediterranean cooperation and integration as a core factor for the region’s economic and social development.
The Mediterranean Week of Economic Leaders constitutes an excellent platform for reflection, networking and exchange of experiences. It is organised by ASCAME and the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Navigation, with the collaboration of the UfM Secretariat, the European Institute of the Mediterranean (IEMed) and the European Investment Bank (EIB).
