EMUNI Annual Conference 2015: “Science Diplomacy: Re-thinking the EuroMed Cooperation Agenda”

The UfM Secretariat will participate in the EMUNI Annual Conference 2015 entitled “Science Diplomacy: Re-thinking the EuroMed Cooperation Agenda” which will be held on 11-13 February 2015 in Portorož, Slovenia. The UfM Secretariat will be represented by its Deputy Secretary General in charge of Higher Education and Research, Prof. Ilan Chet.
Established within the framework of the Paris Summit for the Mediterranean’s Declaration (Paris, 13th July 2008), the EMUNI University represents an international network of over 200 Euro-Mediterranean universities with headquarters in Slovenia.
The EMUNI Annual Conference 2015 will debate the future of Euro-Mediterranean cooperation and partnership, with a focus on unconventional tools (such as science diplomacy and others) to promote peace and prosperity in the region.
The Conference will gather policy-makers, senior administrators from Higher Education, Research and Innovation Institutions, as well as governmental, non-governmental and international organisations.
Deputy Secretary General Prof. Ilan Chet will be opening the conference on behalf of the Union for the Mediterranean, together with representatives from the European Commission, the Arab League and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia.
