The Urban Project Finance Initiative (UPFI) Workshop

14 June, Barcelona. UfM will organise the Urban Project Finance Initiative (UPFI) Workshop with the support of the Agence Française de Développement (AFD) and the European Investment Bank (EIB). The workshop will gather UPFI partners, namely the European Commission, AFD and EIB as well as UPFI project promoters. It aims to take stock of UPFI progress and achievements, provide a platform to present case studies, share experiences and best practices in selecting, implementing and financing urban development projects and discuss the way ahead. The initiative, which was labelled by the UfM, supports project promoters in the Southern and Eastern Mediterranean regions as well as in the Western Balkans. It helps them prepare and finance ambitious urban development projects with the ultimate aim to create jobs, reduce poverty and upgrade the urban fabric
