Barcelona, 6 September, 2013. The new Euro-Mediterranean Women’s Foundation was launched on 6 September 2013 in Barcelona, Spain, with the aim of supporting women of the Euro-Mediterranean in their quest for empowerment and gender equality. More concretely, the Foundation will implement the Union for the Mediterranean labelled project Developing Women Empowerment, approved by the 43 Members of the Union for the Mediterranean. Bled, 2-3 September, 2013. In the framework of an official visit to Slovenia, UfM Secretary General Sijilmassi was invited to address the Bled Strategic Forum, a platform for high-level strategic dialogue among leaders from the private and public sectors on key issues facing the world in the 21st century.
