Call for applications: Research to Business Programme

Applications are now open for the first cohort of the Research to Business (R2B) Programme, a 24-month regional initiative supporting applied research teams across the Mediterranean in transforming scientific knowledge and discoveries into market-ready innovations. UfM Regional Platform on Women Empowerment reviews progress on gender equality monitoring

UfM supports Tetouan’s launch as Mediterranean Capital of Culture and Dialogue 2026

Tetouan, 29 April 2026 – The Union for the Mediterranean took part in the official inauguration of Tetouan as Mediterranean Capital of Culture and Dialogue 2026, an initiative celebrating the city’s cultural heritage and its role in strengthening dialogue across the Euro-Mediterranean region. A Conference held in Berlin today introduced business leaders and representatives of the Private Sector from Germany and the Region to the current realities of economic integration and the opportunities that deeper integration would offer in strategic economic sectors across the region. UfM adopts Civil Protection Action Plan ahead of 3rd Euro-Mediterranean Workshop on Fire Risks in Cyprus

The 2030 UfM Action Plan on Civil Protection and Disaster Risk Management has just been formally endorsed. The Plan provides the strategic framework underpinning Euro-Mediterranean cooperation on fire and disaster risk. UfM Transport Platform sets course for final phase of Regional Transport Action Plan implementation

29 April 2026, Online. The Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) Regional Platform on Transport Connectivity and its Working Groups on Land, Air, and Maritime Transport convened online on 29 April 2026 to advance the implementation of the Regional Transport Action Plan (RTAP) 2021–2027.
