The members of the UfM Regional Platform on Employment and Labour took part in a study visit to the European Labour Authority (ELA) in Bratislava, organised by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion (DG EMPL), to strengthen cooperation on fair labour mobility and tackling undeclared work. The Union for the Mediterranean (UfM), together with IUCN and MedPAN, co-organised the webinar “Addressing Restoration of Marine and Coastal Ecosystems in the Mediterranean: Building Together for a Common Goal”. The event brought together policymakers, practitioners, researchers, and regional stakeholders to discuss how ecosystem restoration can respond to the Mediterranean’s growing climate and biodiversity challenges. 15 January 2026. As established by RTAP Action 28, the UfM Regional Platform on Transport Connectivity delivered a mid-term review of the plan. The review provides an overview of progress achieved to date, as reported by participating countries, as well as the main challenges encountered. Beyond assessing implementation so far, the review sets the direction for the final phase of the RTAP up to 2027, outlining recommendations for priority areas of cooperation in the coming years. The Union for the Mediterranean, together with the Catalan Agency for Development Cooperation (ACCD), is launching the project “Women Leading Change: Gender-Responsive Leadership in Mediterranean Universities and Municipalities”, and to invite universities from Morocco, Lebanon and Syria to express their interest in participating and receiving tailored technical assistance.
