The President of the Republic of Tunisia receives the Secretary General of the UfM

Tunis, 6 June 2014. Today the President of the Republic of Tunisia, Moncef Marzouki, welcomed the Secretary General of the UfM, Fathallah Sijilmassi, to his official residence at Carthage Palace.

They discussed methods for strengthening cooperation in all areas between Tunisia and the Union for the Mediterranean. The meeting provided an opportunity to reaffirm Tunisia’s support for the projects and progressive efforts carried out by the UfM to promote an effective integration among its member countries. This integration will come about by strengthening the mechanisms of regional cooperation and by implementing specific projects to ensure complementarity between all the countries of the Union for the Mediterranean.
