Meeting “UfMS Peer to Peer Dialogue for support local authorities’ efforts in energy efficiency and climate change + capacity building program”

24 – 29 November 2018, Istanbul, Turkey. The Secretariat of the Union for the Mediterranean organises the second “UfMS Peer to Peer Dialogue for Supporting Local Authorities’ Efforts in Energy Transition and Climate Change” back to back with the “UfMS Capacity Building Program for Local Energy Transition” in Istanbul, Turkey, from 24 to 29 November 2018.

This technical workshop will represent a milestone in the promotion and coordination of local authorities’ efforts in energy efficiency and climate action in the region. The event will bring together initiatives undertaken by local authorities from UfM Member States in the areas of renewable energy, energy efficiency and climate change. The main objective is to strengthen regional cooperation in order to better coordinate ongoing and future efforts by local authorities as well as the promotion and deployment of renewable energy and energy efficiency measures in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and in addressing the adaptation challenges that a changing climate entails.
