‘The opportunities of strengthening the Euro-Mediterranean economic integration’: UfM participates in the Paris Forum – Casablanca Round

Barcelona, 3 February, 2014. The Secretary General of the Union for the Mediterranean, Fathallah Sijilmassi, will participate as a keynote speaker in the Paris Forum Casablanca Round, to be held in Casablanca on 5th February, 2013.

Secretary General Sijilmassi will present his vision about the current socio-economic situation in the Mediterranean countries and the central role that this region can play for the development of a greater Euro-African economic integration. He will also brief the audience on the activities and projects developed by the Secretariat of the Union for the Mediterranean, especially in the fields of job creation and business development, and their contribution to the on-going development process and regional integration.

The Paris Forum – Casablanca Round has become a reference as an economic encounter and a platform for debate. The edition of 2014 will focus on the issue of the global crisis and its social and political contexts. More information on the Forum here
