Training course: “Integration of renewable energy solutions in the Mediterranean electricity markets”

Milan, 17-28 November 2014

The UfM-partner, Renewable Energy Solutions for the Mediterranean (RES4MED), in cooperation with Enel Foundation and Politecnico di Milano, organises a 2-week advanced training course named “Integration of renewable energy solutions in the Mediterranean electricity markets”.

With the aim to provide participants with a set of technical, economical and regulatory tools to assess the most appropriate solutions in different energy contexts, the course is addressed primarily at middle managers with an appropriate seniority selected among public institutions, energy companies, energy centers, universities and research agencies operating in the Mediterranean region. The course aims to boost an efficient and effective integration of renewables in the electricity market, while favoring the setting up of an international network of experts.

The course foresees lectures on the main technical, regulatory and financial features given by qualified international and Italian experts, academics and highly skilled technicians, matched with visit to innovative laboratories and power plants.

RES4MED is a non-profit association set up in 2012 and intends to be a catalyst for the ongoing Mediterranean initiatives, while involving key stakeholders from North Africa, the Middle East and the Balkans. With its members expertise and knowledge, RES4MED wants to present itself as an additional reference point for Mediterranean stakeholders committed to renewable energy promotion.
