The UfM Youth Focal Points Network includes UfM Member State representatives, CSOs, young professionals, experts, and advocates involved in UfM Youth initiatives. Its goal is to foster cooperation, address regional issues, share best practices, and build partnerships.

UfM youth initiatives in our three priority areas
While national governments and international institutions lead on climate change, young social entrepreneurs and advocators are key innovators. Supporting these youth is crucial for turning their groundbreaking ideas into effective projects. The UfM focuses on empowering young leaders to drive meaningful climate action and create impactful solutions.
With youth unemployment rates reaching 30-40% in the MENA region and 11% of 15-29 year-olds in the EU not in employment, education or training, the UfM is deploying initiatives to improve the employability of young people and promote access to quality education.
In a Euro-Mediterranean region where almost a third of the population is under 24, young people are often excluded from decision-making processes and lack the support they need to make a real social impact. The UfM addresses this by creating platforms for knowledge-sharing, networking, and strategic partnerships, with a focus on supporting disadvantaged and gender-diverse youth.
Frameworks for action
The UfM Youth Strategy 2030: Euro-Mediterranean Youth towards a Common Goal is a combination of a clear vision, concrete actions, realistic ambitions and good practices. This Strategy brings together all UfM Member States with different horizons to agree on common actions for youth in the Euro-Mediterranean region.
The UfM Youth Agenda: Call for Action a set of twelve calls to action that operationalise the UfM Youth Strategy 2030. The actions are gathered in three categories, following our three priority areas.
