8-9, Dubrovnik.Upon the invitation of Croatia’s Prime Minister Andrej Plenković, and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić-Radman, UfM Secretary General Nasser Kamel participated in the Dubrovnik Forum 2022. Held under the t heme “A Quest for Balance in a World Disrupted”, the international high-level conference brought together over 200 participants, among others Prime Ministers and Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the region, representatives of international and regional organisations, as well as think tanks and private sector actors.
This year’s edition focused on challenges posed by the war in Ukraine and the disruptions of the global supply chains. The SG took part of the panel on “Raw power of raw materials” focused on food and energy security. In the margin of the Forum, SG Kamel held bilateral meetings with the foreign ministers of Croatia and Greece, as well as with the Deputy Secretary General of the OECD, in view of reinforcing cooperation and synergies between the UfM Secretariat and its partners in the wider Mediterranean region.
