Danielsson and Sijilmassi opened the 1st UfM Working Group on Environment and Climate Change, held in Palau de Pedralbes, Barcelona. The Secretariat of the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) today hosts the first General Assembly of the Mediterranean Youth Climate Network (MYCN) in Barcelona. The MYCN carries out actions to fight climate change in order to promote awareness, advocate solutions, share experiences and support local initiatives. Barcelona, 24 February 2017. The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) launched a joint programme today aimed at the development of private renewable energy markets in Egypt, Jordan, Morocco and Tunisia. The SEMED Private Renewable Energy Framework (SPREF), a €227.5 million financing framework, was presented during the EU Energy Day at the COP22 international climate conference in Marrakesh.
