UfM signs agreement with The WonderPick Limited – FotoNostrum to stimulate cultural interaction, dialogue and social integration
17 October 2019, Barcelona. UfM Secretary General Nasser Kamel signed on 17 October 2019 a Memorandum of Understanding with The WonderPick Limited – FotoNostrum. Through this MoU the UfM confirms its contribution for the intercultural dialogue in the Mediterranean region and reinforce its engagement in the regional cooperation field.
The WonderPick Limited will organize the FotoNostrum event “Unity in Cultural Diversity”, which is a unique event stimulating cultural interaction, dialogue and social integration among Europe, and Southern and Eastern Mediterranean countries. FotoNostrum will be held at the Fira Barcelona Montjuic, Hall 8, July 8-11, 2021. 19,000 square meters to host the Congress of Mediterranean Photography, currently with two side event: the Barcelona International Fair of Contemporary Photography, and the International Show of the Photography Industry.
The Congress will promote cultural cooperation between Europe and Mediterranean countries, while encouraging appraisal of the different schools of thoughts and visual expression in the field of contemporary photography. It will be an inclusive professional event promoting mutual interests among photographers, gallerists, publishers, and curators within the Mediterranean and European region, aspiring to be an essential resource for photographers of the Mediterranean countries and the European Union seeking communications with peers, and showcasing their works in an international environment.
Disseminating this event, introducing it in all member countries and strengthening the role of culture to bring people closer, the UfM confirms its ability to develop effective interaction between cooperation actors and underline the importance of intercultural cooperation for the regional stability, human development and integration.
