23-24 June 2022. The UfM Secretary general was invited to participate in the Tunisia Investment Forum and the ANIMA Investment Network Annual Conference held on 21-24 June 2022 in Tunis. UfM Member States endorse a new project to facilitate access to finance to MSMEs in the Mediterranean 

UfM Member States met today at the level of Senior Officials to discuss the activities and projects of the Union for the Mediterranean for the second semester 2022. They exchanged on the state-of-play of the preparations for the upcoming Ministerial Meetings on Research and Innovation (27 June 2022), on Transport (3 October 2022), and on Strengthening the Role of Women in Society (26 October 2022). UfM SG, Nasser Kamel, meets in Paris with officials from the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs

7-8 April 2022, Paris – The UfM Secretary General, Nasser Kamel, visited Paris on 7 and 8 April 2022. He met with several officials from the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs and the diplomatic cell of the Elysée Palace. He also met with the ambassador Karim Amellal, Interministerial Delegate for the Mediterranean to discuss the follow-up of the “Forum des mondes méditerranéens” and in particular the “Plaidoyer 2030”, an advocacy work led by nearly 150 young people from the Mediterranean for a more sustainable and inclusive cooperation in the region.
